We’re going to cover everything you need to know to plan a smooth, enjoyable trip: tickets, opening hours, transport, dining, accommodation, and tips for getting the most out of your visit.
About Lake Caumasee
Lake Caumasee, or Lag La Cauma in Romansh, is fed by glacier springs and underground rivers. The shallow waters warm quickly, so swimming is comfortable from April through September. The water level varies seasonally, lowest in April before snow melts, and highest after summer rains. Its clear turquoise color and mountain backdrop make it one of eastern Switzerland’s most beautiful summer destinations.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal months are late May to early September. Summer temperatures reach 68°F (20°C), making swimming comfortable. Weekdays or early mornings on weekends are best to avoid crowds.
